Constantine Group

Established in 2006, TGC Renewables develops solar installations across the United Kingdom. The company is based in Bristol and Glasgow.

TGC Renewables has worked with a wide range of customers, principally private individuals, landowners and farmers, to provide renewable energy solutions and develop solar installations.

To date, they have developed over 500MW of Solar Farms; covering approximately 2000 acres and producing enough power each year to power over 130,000 homes.

How we assisted TGC Renewables +

The demand for TGC’s service offering increased significantly with the inception in April 2010 of the UK Government legislation of Feed in Tariffs, which pay micro-generators of renewable electricity enhanced tariffs for their production of “green” electricity.

The two dynamic owners of the business required financial and corporate support in order to retain their market leading position and to maximise the opportunity in this fast growing sector, but wished to retain operational independence. They chose Constantine as their preferred partner because Constantine provided a long term investment with no timescale for exit and the ambition to invest further in the sector. They were impressed by Constantine’s approach of supporting local management teams, whilst giving them autonomy to manage the business.

The company has since become one of the UK’s most successful developers of solar installations for private landowners.
