Established in 2006, TGC Renewables install and develop onshore wind and solar farms across the United Kingdom.
TGC Renewables has worked with a wide range of customers, both Corporate and Public to provide renewable energy solutions. These clients include Scottish Power, The Body Shop, the 2012 Olympics Sailing venue, Orange and various private individuals, landowners and farmers. The company focus on products that make financial sense as well as environmental sense for their clients.
TGC Renewables Head Office is based in Bristol and has further regional project teams in Scotland and the Midlands.
The demand for TGC’s service offering increased significantly with the inception in April 2010 of the UK Government legislation of Feed in Tariffs, which pay micro-generators of renewable electricity enhanced tariffs for their production of “green” electricity.
The two dynamic owners of the business required financial and corporate support in order to retain their market leading position and to maximise the opportunity in this fast growing sector, but wished to retain operational independence. They chose Constantine as their preferred partner because Constantine provided a long term investment with no timescale for exit and the ambition to invest further in the sector. They were impressed by Constantine’s approach of supporting local management teams, whilst giving them autonomy to manage the business.
